OVERVIEW

The 8th generation (C8) of the Chevrolet Corvette is an engineering marvel; designed to be a World-Class American Sportscar with exceptional power and handling. However, the Corvette engineers left some room for aerodynamic enhancement that lowers lap times and increases driver confidence. One such key area was the rather overengineered brake cooling ducts. When the C8 is upgraded to bigger brakes with extra thermal capacity, these ducts may be excessive and not needed for optimal performance. 

The Verus Engineering Brake Duct Block-Off Kit was developed to improve the aero balance of the Corvette Stingray. By blocking off the factory brake ducts, the C8 Front Bumper holds a higher concentration of high-pressure air at the front of the bumper around the duct area, and low-pressure air at the leading edge of the nose and underneath the splitter. On a vehicle equipped with our Ventus 3 Package, this simple and effective modification increased total downforce by 4% and reduced total drag by 0.8%, increasing front balance by 5%! 

Installation is simple and completely reversible. As a reminder, the block-offs serve as an aerodynamic balancing tuning device and should only be used when you are confident in your braking performance. Proceed with caution when removing cooling capacity!
